To remove the spare tire from the interior of the Land Rover Defender Pickup (DCPU) or Soft-Top vehicle, and to keep the classic Defender look, we have adapted our proven spare wheel carrier to fit the pickup configuration. This swing-away tire carrier is opened independently of the tailgate, is rattle-free and completely made of stainless steel. NOTE: this will *not* fit the Defender HiCapacity (Hicap, HCPU) Pickup configuration.
The carrier is mounted on the rear cross member, and operates on a bearing that is maintenance-free, and is compatible with Land Rover trailer coupling. Available in two finish options, natural stainless steel or black powdercoat.
