Description
This replacement bolt corresponds to the original Land Rover part number ALR5549, and these are stainless steel replacements used to attach a NAS roll cage to a Defender.
Please note that this replacement hardware is a HIGH TENSILE STAINLESS STEEL, in Grade A2-80, which is an austenitic, acid proof stainless grade which has been cold worked to provide a minimum tensile strength of 800 N/mm2 (MPa), or approximately 115,000 psi.
The black stainless steel screws are coated with a chromium oxide layer via a computer-controlled electrochemical process. As a result, the stainless steel screws are still protected against rust.
Price per piece. Recommended quantities for NAS vehicles are as follows:
- NAS 90 SW (Station Wagon) = 18 exterior + 6 interior = 24 total
- NAS 90 ST (Soft Top) = 30 exterior + 4 interior = 34 total***
- NAS 110 SW (Station Wagon) = 68 total [please note, the original 110 bolts were slightly shorter in size, but these bolts while longer will work as suitable replacements]
[***NOTE: *some* of the very early 1994 vehicles (approximately the first 400 or so) also had an additional crossbar on the inside of the rear tub....if you have this, and would also like to fit these replacement bolts, you will require an additional 4 units, or 38 total]
